This year, Mountain Writers’ Festival is bringing some of the greatest storytelling talent around to town to engage with school students. Join us for curriculum-aligned sessions designed to make engaging with literature fun!

Students will hear from lauded poet, author and activist Tony Birch and acclaimed poet, writer and illustrator Maxine Beneba Clarke, including space to ask questions and engage directly with the writers behind the work.

After lunch, it’s time for the students to take the mic – with a workshop and poetry slam facilitated by OutLoud founder Emilie Zoey Baker.
